Diary Of A Black Girl

Live life, love, laugh

Johanna

August10

I’ve got a old friend called her name is Johanna – a white girl – a Jehovas Witness.  I have known her forever – we lived on the same road in Wembley two doors apart.  I cannot remember when I first got to know her.  I do know we went to the same infant, junior and secondary school.  She has three boys and recently a little girl who is so cute.

Johanna rang to say she is coming to see me.  As she map read her way to me I gave her a call and soon realised she was not alone bringing her husband and younger son .  Not a problem - but as I said before I have known Johanna since morning and as such if she comes round we will see whats in the cupboard and eat anything, rice crispies, toast, sandwiches, yesterdays dinner - anything she’s cool.  Now her husband (a vegetarian) is coming I have to COOK!!!  I ran out and did some shopping I made a tuna quiche (yep including the pastry) – a popular dish with friends and various salads.  We had humous, olives, sun dried tomatoes, crisps and dips to start and the meal was finished with a banoffee pie bought by Jo. All this was flushed down with beer and posh juice – not the cheep stuff – no I did not drink alcohol! (I get drunk – can’t deal).

Interestingly Johanna and family sat on my sofa and they slowly slid to the floor and we all ended up lying/ sitting on the floor – she loved the carpet as she has floor boards.  Yep even though floorboard look great and I prefer them there is a lot to be said about carpet underfoot.

I love this girl because she is strong, intelligent, focused and a loyal friend.  She stayed with my mother in St Lucia for part of her honeymoon my whole family know her.  She is also very pretty and it’s been said by many how gorgeous she looks she is now 41 she had her FIRST filling last week!!   MAD!!

A good night was had by all – she left her one year old daughters jeans here – when she change her nappy.  I sent her a text to let her know I’ll drop them at her mums.  She told me not to worry about them as they will soon fit me (as I am dieting).  FUNNY!!!

Dunno about this one – I had a  great day met my sister – went to see an old friend whom I had lost touch with.  I am glad we made contact.  I went to Nando’s with my sister and niece and had a great evening at home.  I don’t know was it a great spiritual day? Not any more or less than any other day’s in my life.  I have come to a place where my world is filled with so much joy and happiness and 8.08.08 was no different folks sorry it was still a blessed day but to me they all are – am I making sense?

Hey guess what I’ve been ravin’ and just got in – I was with Diane she is most probably catchin`g some zzzzzz’s now.  We went to Masters Wine Bar in Harrow – personally I don’t like the decor but the music and crowd are just swell – it’s like a party everyone rocking to the great selection of music reggae, soca, soul and everything in between.  I had fun though it was a last min decision.  I wish I could rave all week end but I have work to do Sunday and work Monday I am usually a home else I would be out tomorrow.  Both Diane and I got chatted up – a man generously offered to ‘take me home’ (grab your coat you’ve pulled-not). I spoke to a woman who was with friends - celebrating her hen night a full-figured woman - attractive - she is getting married on Wednesday so I wish her all the best.  The great thing about ‘Masters’ is you can speak to people the crowd is friendly.  I also spoke for some time to a nice man who for the past few years has been developing Black History Month in Milton Keynes.  Did you know they have abandoned Black History Month in the London Borough of Harrow – it is called some other rubbish and ‘our’ money has been distributed to the masses – DON’T GET ME STARTED!

Still she raved, she dance, she left, she’s home – I am not tired that is what three Red Bulls (which I do not reccomend) – I do I hope I can sleep.
