OBAMA

November5

It is 2.39am my eyes are red and I am still up … why? you ask … OBAMA of course.  I am watching history unfold before my eyes It is a privilege to be here in this space and time witnessing these events.

I just saw an American man by the name of Lonnie on TV I met him whilst he was here in England he was doing a talk about a black museum that is being built in America.  He was speaking about Obama.

I am so happy oh what a great night this is.

I agree! It is great day in our history and everyone I have come across has felt the same sort of happiness with today’s news. It’s a very emotional day and this level of emotion and intensity is reminiscent of when Princess Diana died but at the other extreme – happiness and not sadness..

    Hiya Randa

Thank you for your lovely comment – you are so right our and feelings and sentiments are echoed all over the world – what a great day. I stayed up and watched history unfold I wanted to ‘be’ a part of it. I went to bed at 4.00am – I had the day off I woke up at 10am my phones were ringing and text messages beeping like crazy – I dashed to the shops and bought nearly every newspaper – I am still high from the feeling that day gave me.
