Diary Of A Black Girl

Nice guy but not a thing to say

November25

I joined eharmony (nice site) and Match.com

Met a guy on eharmony (there are all of 2 black men on there so I won’t be around there for more than a month!) and he is really nice but I have nothing to say to him. 20 minutes into a conversation and I run out of steam – which is just not me. I am not the worlds biggest talker, I leave that to Lauretta ;) but I can hold a conversation and I can usually initiate one too or breathe life into one if it is dying.

I just have nothing in common with this man – such a shame.

Writers Block

November8

I have been away from blogging for a while. I want to write, I write every every day at home, at work – pages and pages. However when I log on to the site and I try to write about myself . . . . I get writers block . . . .

What do you say to a man who is grooming you?

October18

Since attending church in September 08 I have been helped by many people concerned with my spiritual development (bless them!) but one man showed his true colours this week when he announced that in fact he was helping me because he was “grooming” me for him – can you believe such crazy talk!

Everything he had done to help me with prayer, understanding the bible and anything else was all because he had me down on his list to be his next wife.

Let’s just say that the unGodly woman in me is still alive and well and prone to surf when she meets idiots like that one. He left with a clear message where he could stick is grooming but still wanted me to “think about it!” – some men just can’t understand the phrase HELL NO!

What would you do without the internet?

October17

I was watching South Park (well flicking really because I never stop to watch stuff like that usually) and it was focusing on the whole town losing the internet and having nothing to do. It reminded me of Fiddler on the Roof when the whole town had to clear out in search of a new place to live. On South Park the family were packing up in search of “internet” in a different town in the hope of being able to connect. The kids were bored and going crazy and no one could function because the internet no longer existed.

Then on Facebook I asked what people would do if the internet disappeared and the replies listed a range of ways people will fill the space until someone said that they had no clue what they would do and I replied maybe it might be nice to do nothing!

Why is it when something goes we have to find a way to fill the space? And why is doing nothing and just being so overlooked????
